The Office for Equal Opportunities

Alongside being the office of the
Equal Opportunities Officer of the University of Hohenheim, the Office for Equal Opportunities is where students and members of the academic and scientific staff go for all issues and questions pertaining to equal opportunities.

The office is run by the Equal Opportunities Representative and provides advice, information and support aimed at avoiding and eradicating disadvantages for women and at creating the equal opportunities guaranteed under the Federal Constitution.

During opening hours, the Office for Equal Opportunities deals with matters concerning balancing studies, work in academia and the family, and also offers advisory seminars on situations concerning studies, life, work and research. The office is often the first point of contact when women feel they are being disadvantaged or sexually harassed.

Men can also seek support here when they wish to balance family and career or studies or simply wish to find out more about the issues raised in equal opportunities.

Furthermore, the Office for Equal Opportunities advises and supports the University of Hohenheim in all issues and questions concerning equal rights. It compiles the annual report of the University’s Equal Opportunities Officer, develops new concepts on equal opportunities and carries out PR work.
